FAQs

What kind of organization is this?

We are a professional, gender-inclusive cinema fraternity for cinematic artists of character.

How is a professional fraternity different from a social fraternity?

A Professional Fraternity has different values, a different focus, and is made up of different group of students that concentrate on developing their careers and interests in the cinematic arts.

I'm a member of a social fraternity/sorority. Can I still rush?

Absolutely! A number of our brothers and sisters are members in good standing of social Greek life. If you can make the time commitment, we'd love to have you!

Do I need to be a film major to rush?

No. While the fraternity is largely made up of those pursuing a career in film, we pride ourselves in being an organization with diverse membership, and we encourage students from all majors to rush. As long as you are looking to expand upon your interests in film and cinema, we welcome you with open arms!

I'm a grad student. Can I rush?

Of course! We'd love to have you!

What is Delta Kappa Alpha's stance on hazing?

Delta Kappa Alpha has an extremely strict ZERO HAZING POLICY. As we are an organization that strives for fellowship and friendship amongst our brothers and sisters, we do not and will not use hazing as a form of initiation.

How can I rush?

Be sure to follow our social media handles and check back with our website frequently - we will post all upcoming rush events there. Show up with a positive attitude and a willingness to have a good time!
